Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Xavier
CINCINNATI (Interstat) — The Xavier Musketeers look to build on a quality win when they host the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Cintas Center.
Xavier (4-3) is coming off a 78-68 victory over West Virginia last Sunday. Jovan Milicevic led the way with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Tre Carroll added 17 points and five rebounds. The Musketeers have shown resilience at home, with their only blemish a one-point loss to Georgia.
The Islanders (2-4) are riding high after a 122-75 rout of Howard Payne. Nicholas Shogbonyo, Sheldon Williams and Bryson Wheatfall all scored at least 16 points in the win. However, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has struggled on the road this season, losing all four of its games away from home by an average of 18.5 points, including contests at Kansas and Oklahoma State.
This matchup presents a stark contrast in competition levels. While Xavier prepares for a rugged Big East schedule, the Islanders are tuning up for Southland Conference play. The Musketeers will be heavily favored, but will need to contain a Texas A&M-Corpus Christi offense that found its rhythm in its last outing.
