Stanford vs. Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (Interstat) — The Stanford Cardinal look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they face the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.

Stanford (4-1) saw its four-game winning streak snapped in a 77-69 home loss to Seattle last Friday. Ebuka Okorie led the Cardinal with 17 points in the defeat, while Chisom Okpara added 14 points.

Minnesota (4-2) also enters coming off a loss, falling 77-65 to San Francisco last Saturday. Langston Reynolds scored 16 points and Cade Tyson added 14 for the Golden Gophers in that contest.

The Cardinal had averaged 85.5 points in their four victories prior to the Seattle game. The Golden Gophers’ two losses have come against San Francisco and Missouri, with their four wins all occurring at home.

This neutral-site game on Thanksgiving Day serves as a final tune-up before both teams enter a more demanding stretch of their schedules. Stanford will face Santa Clara at the same venue the following day, while Minnesota’s next contest is a Big Ten Conference clash against Indiana on Dec. 3.
