Northwestern at DePaul

ROSEMONT, Ill. (Interstat) — The undefeated Northwestern Wildcats will put their high-powered offense to the test on the road Friday against the DePaul Blue Demons in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game at Allstate Arena.

Northwestern (3-0) has dominated its early-season opponents, winning each game by at least 23 points. The Wildcats are coming off a 110-63 rout of Cleveland State on Monday, where Arrinten Page scored 17 points with nine rebounds and Nick Martinelli added 21 points and seven rebounds.

DePaul (2-1) looks to rebound after a 66-53 home loss to Buffalo on Tuesday. The Blue Demons’ offense stalled in the defeat, with Brandon Maclin and NJ Benson combining for 20 points. Their lone win against a Division I opponent this season was a 72-64 victory over Stonehill.

The Wildcats have showcased a balanced and efficient attack, averaging 85.3 points per game. The Blue Demons will need a significant defensive improvement after allowing Buffalo to shoot 48% from the field.

This intrastate non-conference matchup is the first of a challenging stretch for Northwestern, which faces Virginia and South Carolina in a multi-team event next week. DePaul hosts Gardner-Webb on Nov. 18 before a home game against Detroit.
