MURRAY, Ky. (Interstat) — Murray State cruised to a 108-60 victory over Mississippi Valley State in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Friday at CFSB Center. The Racers improved to 2-0, while the Delta Devils fell to 1-2. Brayden Shorter led all scorers with 15 points for Murray State, which built a 47-23 halftime lead and never looked back. Daniel Mayfield scored 17 points for Mississippi Valley State in the loss. A crowd of 5,214 watched the Racers easily cover the 35-point spread in a game where they were overwhelming favorites.
