MINNEAPOLIS (Interstat) — Minnesota survived a second-half rally to defeat Northwestern 67-66 in a Big Ten Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Williams Arena.

The Golden Gophers led 39-29 at halftime but were outscored 37-28 after the break. The Wildcats had a chance to win on their final possession but could not convert. The victory improved Minnesota’s overall record to 15-16, while Northwestern fell to 13-18. A crowd of 8,760 attended the regular-season finale.
