BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — David Terrell scored 17 points to lead North Texas to a 62-58 victory over UAB in an American Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Sunday at Bartow Arena.

The Mean Green, who trailed 28-21 at halftime, used a 41-point second half to rally past the Blazers. UAB’s Chance Westry matched Terrell with 17 points and Dayjaun Anderson added 14, but the Blazers’ offense stalled late.

North Texas improved to 17-13 overall. UAB fell to 18-11. A crowd of 3,537 watched the defensive contest where neither team shot well. The win avenged a four-point home loss to UAB just over a month ago.
