EAST LANSING, Mich. (Interstat) — Michigan State cruised to an 82-59 victory over UCLA in a men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Breslin Events Center.

The Spartans built a commanding 43-23 lead by halftime and never relented, improving their season record to 21-5. The Bruins, who fell to 17-9, could not overcome the early deficit despite a stronger second-half performance. A crowd of 14,797 watched the home team control the game throughout.

Michigan State, which entered as a heavy favorite, covered the pregame spread as the total score went under the projected over/under line. UCLA will next host Illinois on Saturday.
