The Cougars, who led 37-32 at halftime, needed a late surge to force overtime after the Buffaloes erased a double-digit deficit. BYU then outscored Colorado 12-8 in the extra period. Wright’s performance was pivotal, supported by AJ Dybantsa’s 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Isaiah Johnson scored 27 points for Colorado, and Barrington Hargress added 20. The Buffaloes shot just 28.1% from three-point range and 61.1% from the free-throw line. BYU improved to 18-6, while Colorado fell to 14-12.
