WASHINGTON (Interstat) — Howard cruised to a 79-53 men’s basketball victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday at Burr Gymnasium.

The Bison led 41-30 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half. Cedric Taylor led Howard with 22 points and six assists, while Bryce Harris added 17 points and four blocks. Travelle Bryson contributed 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bison.

Trey Brown scored 14 points for the Hawks. Howard forced 19 turnovers, converting them into 26 points, and out-assisted Maryland-Eastern Shore 13-3.

Howard improved to 16-10 overall. Maryland-Eastern Shore fell to 8-18. An announced crowd of 1,257 attended the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.
