CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — The Citadel outlasted UNC Greensboro 71-66 in overtime Saturday in a Southern Conference men’s basketball game at McAlister Field House.

The Bulldogs, who led 32-30 at halftime, forced an extra period after the Spartans rallied to tie it in the second half. Citadel controlled overtime, outscoring UNC Greensboro 11-6 to secure the win before a crowd of 1,133. Both teams are now 8-15 overall.

KJ Younger led all scorers with 24 points for the Spartans, while Justin Neely added 19 points and 13 rebounds. The Bulldogs were paced by Braxton Williams with 14 points and five assists. Citadel capitalized on Spartan mistakes, scoring 13 points off 12 UNC Greensboro turnovers.
