PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — Dezayne Mingo scored 19 points and dished 10 assists to lead Charlotte to an 80-76 overtime victory over Temple in an American Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night at Liacouras Center.

The 49ers, who avenged a loss to the Owls from last month, overcame a 34-31 halftime deficit. The game was tied at 68 at the end of regulation. Charlotte dominated the extra period, outscoring Temple 12-8.

Anton Bonke scored a game-high 25 points for Charlotte. Temple was led by Derrian Ford with 21 points and Jordan Mason with 20. The 49ers improved to 12-9, while the Owls fell to 13-8. Attendance was 2,659.
