DAYTON, Ohio (Interstat) — Tyler Cochran scored 21 points and Jahmere Tripp added 24 as Rhode Island erased a halftime deficit to stun Dayton 81-76 in overtime Tuesday night in an Atlantic 10 men’s basketball game.

The Flyers led 39-31 at halftime before the Rams mounted their comeback. The game was tied at the end of regulation, and Rhode Island dominated the extra period, outscoring Dayton 17-12 in front of a crowd of 13,407 at University of Dayton Arena.

De’Shayne Montgomery led Dayton with 14 points. The loss dropped the Flyers to 14-6 overall, while Rhode Island improved to 13-8. Dayton had been a 7.5-point pregame favorite.
