TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — Tulsa overwhelmed Rice 97-48 in a men’s college basketball game Wednesday afternoon at Donald Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane improved to 13-1 overall, while the Owls fell to 6-8.

Jaylen Lawal led all scorers with 25 points for Tulsa, which took command with a 40-27 halftime lead. David Green added 19 points and nine rebounds. Nick Anderson scored 17 points for Rice in the loss.

Tulsa dominated key metrics, outscoring Rice 48-18 in the paint and 28-3 on fast breaks. Attendance was 3,306.
