The Red Wolves, who led 39-35 at halftime, were forced into an extra period after the Bison erased a second-half deficit. North Dakota State scored 10 points in overtime, but Arkansas State responded with 15 to secure the win in front of 3,167 fans. The victory lifts Arkansas State to 5-3 on the season, while North Dakota State falls to an identical 5-3 record.
