CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build momentum after challenging early-season schedules will meet Saturday when the North Alabama Lions face the Chattanooga Mocs at McKenzie Arena.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with identical 2-3 records. North Alabama is coming off an 81-61 road loss to Clemson on Monday. Kevin de Kovachich led the Lions with 12 points in that contest. Chattanooga snapped a three-game skid with a 78-66 victory at South Carolina State on Wednesday, powered by Jordan Frison’s 17 points and six assists.

The Lions’ two wins this season have come at home, including an 87-83 overtime victory against Northwestern State. They are 0-2 in true road games, having also fallen to Mississippi State. The Mocs’ victories have been decisive, beating Union Commonwealth 92-39 and South Carolina State, but they have struggled in other road tests against opponents like UNLV and Saint Mary’s.

This game represents a final tune-up for both squads before upcoming in-state games against Tenn. Wesleyan next week. North Alabama will then embark on a four-game road trip, while Chattanooga will prepare for a home matchup against Tennessee State.

The matchup tips off at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Chattanooga.
