Massachusetts-Lowell at Saint Peter`s
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to reverse early-season slides will meet Saturday when the Saint Peter’s Peacocks host the Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks in a non-conference men’s basketball game at Yanitelli Center.
Both teams enter with 1-win records, with Massachusetts-Lowell at 1-5 and Saint Peter’s at 1-3. The matchup represents a chance for either squad to build momentum before the bulk of their schedules resume.
The River Hawks are looking to snap a four-game losing streak. They are coming off a 87-77 road loss to Bradley on Wednesday. JJ Massaquoi led the team with 18 points in that contest, while Darrel Yepdo added 14 points. Massachusetts-Lowell’s lone victory this season was a 107-55 win over Rivier on Nov. 3.
The Peacocks have dropped three of their first four, including a 81-70 loss at Delaware on Tuesday. Brent Bland scored 21 points in the defeat, and TJ Robinson nearly notched a double-double with 11 points and eight assists. Saint Peter’s single win was a 93-83 home victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 8.
Following this game, Massachusetts-Lowell travels to face Long Island on Nov. 29. Saint Peter’s will remain at home to host Dartmouth on the same date.
