Seattle at Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The undefeated Stanford Cardinal look to maintain their perfect start when they host the surging Seattle Redhawks in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (4-0) has won each of its first four games by double digits, most recently routing Louisiana-Lafayette 93-66 on Tuesday. Ebuka Okorie led the way with 26 points and five assists, while Chisom Okpara added 22 points. The Cardinal have showcased a potent offense, averaging 87 points per game.

Seattle (3-1) arrives with momentum after winning three straight, including an 83-74 victory over Idaho State last Saturday. Guard Brayden Maldonado poured in 22 points in that win, and backcourt mate Maleek Arington dished out nine assists. The Redhawks’ only blemish is a narrow two-point loss to Cal Poly earlier this month.

The matchup features a contrast in styles, with Stanford’s high-powered offense facing a Seattle team that has found its rhythm after a season-opening win streak. The game is the first of a challenging road stretch for the Redhawks, who will play six of their next eight games away from home. Stanford continues a season-opening homestand before traveling to face Minnesota next week.
