Presbyterian at UCLA
LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The UCLA Bruins look to continue their strong start to the season when they host the Presbyterian Blue Hose in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at Pauley Pavilion.
UCLA (4-1) returns home after a decisive 79-48 victory over Sacramento State on Tuesday. Eric Dailey Jr. led the way with 15 points, four assists and a block, while Xavier Booker added 12 points and Jamar Brown contributed 10 points and three assists. The Bruins’ lone blemish is a 69-65 loss to Arizona on Nov. 14.
Presbyterian (3-4) arrives on the West Coast after a three-game road trip through California, concluding with a 67-57 loss at California on Tuesday. Carl Parrish scored 16 points in the defeat, and Jonah Pierce added 13 points and two blocks. The Blue Hose have lost three of their last four games, with their only win in that stretch a 63-61 victory at Georgia State on Nov. 10.
The game represents a significant challenge for the Blue Hose, who have yet to win a true road game this season. UCLA has been dominant at home, winning all three of its games in Westwood by an average of 18 points.
Following this contest, UCLA will quickly turn around to host California on Tuesday. Presbyterian continues its lengthy road stretch before returning home to face Columbia International on Nov. 26.
