Howard at Stetson
DELAND, Fla. (Interstat) — The Howard Bison and Stetson Hatters, both seeking to get back to .500, will meet in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup Wednesday at the Edmunds Center.
Howard (2-2) arrives after a 72-64 home victory over Alcorn State last Thursday. Bryce Harris led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds, showcasing the kind of production the Bison will rely on. The win was a bounce-back performance after a narrow 73-70 loss to Grambling.
The Hatters (1-3) are looking to rebound from a 76-65 road loss to Western Carolina on Sunday. Sean Morgan and Collin Kuhl each scored 12 points in the defeat. Stetson’s lone win this season came decisively against Fort Lauderdale, but they have faced stiff competition in road losses to Miami (Fla.) and Rhode Island.
Wednesday’s contest presents an opportunity for both teams to build momentum before challenging stretches. Howard will face a quick turnaround with games against Niagara and Duke in North Carolina this weekend. Stetson will remain at home to host Virginia Military Institute on Saturday.
Tipoff is set for Wednesday night in DeLand.
