William & Mary at Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Interstat) — The Bowling Green Falcons look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they host the William & Mary Tribe in a non-conference men’s basketball game Wednesday at the Stroh Center.
Bowling Green (3-1) is coming off a high-scoring 91-87 road defeat to Davidson on Saturday. Josiah Shackelford led the Falcons with 23 points and six rebounds in that contest, while Javontae Campbell added 21 points. The Falcons’ potent offense was on full display in their three wins, including a 120-point outing against Bethany and an 83-point performance against Texas State.
William & Mary (2-2) seeks to steady itself after a lopsided 93-60 loss at Saint John’s on the same day. Chase Lowe paced the Tribe with seven points and five rebounds in that game, while Reese Miller scored 11 points. The Tribe’s two victories this season came against Norfolk State and Georgian Court, but they fell in a tight 90-86 contest at Richmond.
The matchup pits Bowling Green’s high-powered attack against a William & Mary team looking to improve its defensive consistency after allowing an average of 91.5 points in its two losses.
The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff. Following this contest, Bowling Green will travel to Fort Myers, Florida, to face Bucknell on Monday, while William & Mary returns home to host Regent on Friday.
