ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win over a Division I opponent will meet Wednesday when the Chattanooga Mocs visit the South Carolina State Bulldogs.

Chattanooga (1-3) earned its lone victory against non-DI Union Commonwealth but has since dropped three straight, including a 91-73 loss at Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. Jordan Frison scored 15 points in that defeat.

South Carolina State (0-4) is still searching for its first win after a challenging early schedule. The Bulldogs fell 88-61 at College of Charleston on Friday. Owen Bronston leads the team with 15 points and four rebounds in that contest.

Both teams have struggled defensively, with each allowing an average of over 85 points per game in their losses to DI competition. The Mocs will look to capitalize on their offensive production from players like Frison and Teddy Washington, while the Bulldogs will rely on Bronston and Cameron Clark.

The game at SHM Memorial Center offers a chance for either team to gain momentum before continuing difficult non-conference slates. Chattanooga hosts North Alabama on Saturday, while South Carolina State travels to South Dakota on Sunday.
