LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when they host the Chattanooga Mocs on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

UNLV (0-1) fell 86-81 at home to Tennessee-Martin on Tuesday. Tyrin Jones led the Rebels with nine rebounds and four assists, while Jacob Bannarbie added nine points and eight rebounds.

Chattanooga (1-0) opened its season with a dominant 92-39 victory over Union Commonwealth on Monday. The Mocs were led by Tate Darner, who scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Latif Diouf just missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

The game presents a contrast in early-season momentum. The Mocs are riding high after a blowout win where their offense looked potent and their defense was stifling. The Runnin’ Rebels, meanwhile, are seeking their first win under the pressure of their home crowd after a narrow loss.

This non-conference matchup is the first of a challenging two-game homestand for UNLV, which hosts Montana on Tuesday. Chattanooga continues a road swing at Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 15.

Tip-off is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, in Las Vegas.
