MORAGA, Calif. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories, the Chattanooga Mocs and Saint Mary’s Gaels, will face off Friday night at McKeon Pavilion.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with 1-0 records. Chattanooga cruised past Union Commonwealth 92-39 on Monday, led by Tate Darner’s 15 points and seven rebounds. Saint Mary’s was equally impressive in an 84-58 win over Saint Thomas (Minn.), powered by a 23-point performance from Mikey Lewis and an all-around effort from Paulius Murauskas, who had 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The game presents a challenging start to a tough road trip for the Mocs, who travel to face UNLV on Saturday. For the Gaels, it’s the second of a three-game homestand before hosting Ohio next Tuesday.

The matchup will test Chattanooga’s early momentum against a Saint Mary’s program known for its disciplined system under coach Randy Bennett. How the Mocs handle the Gaels’ methodical offense and the cross-country trip will be key factors.

Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
