Stonehill at DePaul
ROSEMONT, Ill. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories will meet Friday when the DePaul Blue Demons host the Stonehill Skyhawks in a nonconference men’s basketball game at Allstate Arena.
Both teams enter the Nov. 7, 2025, contest with 1-0 records. DePaul cruised past Chicago State 92-62 on Monday, led by a double-double from N.J. Benson, who had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Layden Blocker added 16 points and four assists for the Blue Demons.
Stonehill was equally impressive in its opener, routing Thomas College 100-48. Pearse McGuinn came off the bench to score a team-high 19 points and grab seven rebounds in just 16 minutes of play. Davante Hackett added 12 points and six rebounds for the Skyhawks.
The game represents a significant step up in competition for Stonehill, which is in the midst of a challenging early-season schedule. Following the DePaul game, the Skyhawks face a quick turnaround with a road game at Rhode Island on Tuesday.
For DePaul, this begins a two-game homestand before a local showdown with Northwestern next Friday. The Blue Demons will look to use their size and home-court advantage to handle the visiting Skyhawks.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST.
