Boston University at Northwestern
EVANSTON, Ill. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off season-opening victories will meet Friday when the Northwestern Wildcats host the Boston University Terriers in a non-conference men’s basketball game at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Both teams enter the Nov. 7, 2025, contest with 1-0 records. The Terriers are riding high after a dramatic 76-75 overtime road win against Northeastern on Monday. Ben Defty led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Sam Hughes poured in a team-high 21 points.
Northwestern cruised in its opener, defeating Mercyhurst 70-47. The Wildcats were anchored by a dominant double-double from forward Arrinten Page, who posted 18 points and 12 rebounds. Nick Martinelli added 17 points in the victory.
The game presents a step up in competition for the Wildcats, who face a challenging non-conference slate that includes upcoming games against Virginia and South Carolina later this month. For Boston University, the matchup at Northwestern is the start of a difficult five-game road trip.
Tipoff is scheduled for Friday night in Evanston.
