Arizona Visits Colorado in Big 12 Regular-Season Finale

BOULDER, Colo. (Interstat) — The fourth-ranked Arizona Wildcats, riding a five-game winning streak and eyeing a top seed in the NCAA tournament, close their regular season on the road against the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday.

Arizona (28-2, 16-2 Big 12) has been dominant, winning 12 of its last 13 games. Its only two losses this season came in consecutive contests against Texas Tech and Kansas in early February. The Wildcats are coming off a 73-57 victory over Iowa State on Monday, where guard Jaden Bradley led the way with 17 points.

Bradley has been a catalyst during Arizona’s surge, averaging 16.4 points and 4.6 assists over the last eight games. He scored 25 points in a key road win at Baylor on Feb. 24.

Colorado (17-13, 8-10) seeks a signature win to bolster its postseason resume. The Buffaloes have been inconsistent in conference play but are coming off a 92-78 road victory at Utah on Tuesday. Guard Isaiah Johnson has been their offensive engine, averaging 18.1 points over his last seven games, including a 27-point effort in an overtime loss at BYU.

The Buffaloes will need a standout performance from Johnson and a collective defensive effort to slow an Arizona offense that averages 81.2 points per game. Colorado’s home court at the Coors Events Center has provided an edge, where the team is 12-4 this season.

Arizona won the first meeting this season, 88-53, in Tucson on Jan. 10. The Wildcats have not lost in Boulder since 2021.

Saturday’s contest tips off at 7 p.m. MST and will be televised on ESPN. A victory would secure at least a share of the Big 12 regular-season championship for Arizona in its inaugural year in the conference. For Colorado, the game represents a final opportunity to secure a Quadrant 1 win before the conference tournament.
