ABILENE, Texas (Interstat) — Tre Donaldson scored 17 points and dished nine assists as Miami weathered a late push to defeat SMU 77-69 on Wednesday night at Moody Coliseum.

The Hurricanes (24-6) built a 38-31 halftime lead behind efficient shooting, connecting on 11 of 18 from 3-point range. The Mustangs (19-11), led by Jaron Pierre’s game-high 27 points, closed within single digits in the final minutes but could not complete the comeback.
