CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Interstat) — Illinois cruised to an 80-54 victory over Oregon in a men’s basketball game Tuesday night at State Farm Center. The Fighting Illini improved to 23-7 while the Ducks fell to 11-19.

Illinois led 41-21 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half before a crowd of 15,544. Oregon could not overcome the early deficit despite scoring 33 points after the break. The result surpassed the point spread, as Illinois entered the game as an 18-point favorite. The teams combined for 134 total points, falling under the projected over/under line of 146.5.
