Hurricanes Top Seminoles in ACC Road Victory
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Interstat) — Miami (FL) avenged an earlier loss to Florida State with an 83-73 victory in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Donald L. Tucker Center.
The Hurricanes (22-6) led 38-32 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half to secure the road win. The Seminoles (14-14) could not overcome the early deficit despite outscoring Miami 41-45 after intermission.
A crowd of 10,317 watched as Miami improved its conference standing. Florida State, which had won the previous meeting 65-63 in January, fell back to .500 on the season. The Hurricanes shot more effectively from the floor to secure the win, defying pregame projections that slightly favored the Seminoles at home.
