VCU at Fordham

Preview: VCU Rams at Fordham Rams

NEW YORK (Interstat) — A clash of Atlantic 10 Rams will take place at Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday afternoon as the VCU Rams visit the Fordham Rams.

VCU (16-6) enters on a five-game winning streak, most recently defeating Loyola Chicago 89-75 on Jan. 30. The visiting Rams have surged up the conference standings with an efficient offense, scoring 80 or more points in four of their last five victories.

Fordham (12-10) looks to build momentum after a 79-65 road win at George Washington on Saturday. The home team has shown resilience, alternating wins and losses over its past six contests. Success at Rose Hill Gym will be crucial for Fordham’s conference tournament positioning.

The matchup features a compelling contrast in standouts. VCU is led by dynamic guard Terrence Hill, who averaged 17.4 points and 4.4 assists over his last seven games. He dropped a game-high 24 points in the win over Loyola Chicago.

Fordham will counter with forward Jack Whitbourn, who provides a consistent interior presence. He posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds against George Washington and has recorded two double-doubles in his last five appearances.

Historically, VCU has dominated the series, but Fordham’s home-court advantage provides a potential equalizer. VCU’s pressing defense and transition offense will test Fordham’s ball security and half-court execution.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. EST tip-off on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Rose Hill Gym in the Bronx. It will be the only regular-season meeting between the teams unless they face each other in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

VCU’s next game is at home against Dayton on Friday. Fordham hosts Saint Bonaventure next on Saturday.
