Saint Louis at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. (Interstat) — The surging Saint Louis Billikens, boasting one of the nation’s most impressive records, will face a test on the road Tuesday against the Davidson Wildcats in an Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball matchup at Belk Arena.

Saint Louis (21-1, 8-0 A-10) arrives as one of college basketball’s hottest teams, riding a 13-game winning streak. Their dominance was on full display in a 102-71 rout of Dayton last Friday. The Billikens’ offense has been prolific, scoring 97 or more points in three of their last five games.

Davidson (13-8, 4-4) looks to build momentum after a convincing 79-54 road win at Richmond last Saturday. The Wildcats have shown resilience at home, going 9-2 in Belk Arena this season. They will need that home-court advantage to counter a Saint Louis team that has won its last five road contests.

A key matchup will feature two of the conference’s standout guards. Saint Louis is led by Quentin Jones, who is coming off an 18-point, 5-assist performance against Dayton. Over his last eight games, Jones has averaged 9.4 points and 3.6 assists, providing steady backcourt leadership for the high-powered Billikens.

Davidson will counter with sharpshooter Roberts Blums, who erupted for 23 points in just 19 minutes against Richmond. Blums has been a consistent scorer for the Wildcats, reaching double figures in six of his last seven games, including a 21-point effort at George Washington on Jan. 14.

The Billikens have showcased a balanced attack. In the win over Dayton, Trey Green scored a team-high 23 points and Ishan Sharma added 18. Davidson’s Parker Friedrichsen, who had 15 points and 4 rebounds against Richmond, will be another crucial piece for the Wildcats’ offense.

Historically, Davidson holds a 9-7 series advantage, but Saint Louis won the most recent meeting. Tuesday’s game represents a significant opportunity for the Wildcats to secure a signature conference victory, while the Billikens aim to continue their march toward an A-10 regular-season title.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. Saint Louis will host La Salle on Saturday, while Davidson will prepare to host Loyola Chicago on Friday.
