Boston College at Clemson
Preview: Boston College Eagles at Clemson Tigers
GREENVILLE, S.C. (Interstat) — A surging Clemson team will look to extend its winning streak and solidify its strong start to ACC play when it hosts a struggling Boston College squad on Tuesday night at the Bi-Lo Center.
The Tigers (14-3) enter the conference matchup riding a five-game winning streak, most recently a 76-61 road victory at Notre Dame on Saturday. Clemson has been led by the hot hand of guard Jestin Porter, who poured in 26 points against the Fighting Irish. Over his last five games, Porter is averaging 14.8 points, including two 20-point performances.
Clemson’s balanced attack also features consistent contributions from RJ Godfrey and Carter Welling, who combined for 30 points in the win at Notre Dame. The Tigers’ 14-3 record marks one of the program’s best starts in recent seasons.
They will face a Boston College team (7-9) seeking to halt a three-game skid. The Eagles are coming off a 75-62 loss at Louisville on Saturday, their third consecutive defeat after conference losses to North Carolina State and Georgia Tech.
The Eagles will lean heavily on guard Fred Payne, who has been a bright spot during the losing streak. Payne scored 22 points in both the Louisville and NC State games, and is averaging 16.2 points over his last five outings. Support from Luka Toews and Boden Kapke, who each scored in double figures against Louisville, will be crucial for an upset bid.
Clemson holds a distinct advantage in momentum and record, but the ACC rivalry adds an element of unpredictability. The Tigers will aim to protect their home court in Greenville and continue their climb up the conference standings, while the Eagles are in desperate need of a resume-building road victory to turn their season around.
The game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. EST tipoff on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026.
