Donaldson Leads Miami Past Georgia Tech in ACC Matchup
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (Interstat) — Tre Donaldson scored 27 points and dished 10 assists as Miami pulled away from Georgia Tech for a 91-81 men’s basketball victory Saturday at Watsco Center.
The Hurricanes (14-2, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) used a 14-point halftime lead as a cushion, fending off multiple second-half pushes from the Yellow Jackets (10-7, 1-3). Donaldson keyed the win, supported by Shelton Henderson’s 17 points and 18 from Malik Reneau.
Georgia Tech’s Lamar Washington posted 21 points and 12 assists, while Kowacie Reeves added 23 points. The Yellow Jackets cut the deficit to six points late but could not overcome Miami’s efficient offense, which shot 51.7% from the field and forced 13 turnovers. Attendance was 5,328.
