Wilkinson Leads Georgia to Decisive Win Over Western Carolina
ATHENS, Ga. (Interstat) — Jeremiah Wilkinson scored 26 points to lead Georgia to a 112-82 victory over Western Carolina in a nonconference men’s basketball game Thursday night at Stegeman Coliseum.
The Bulldogs, improving to 10-1, never trailed. They built a 54-40 halftime lead and continued to pull away, shooting efficiently from the field. Wilkinson, a guard from Powder Springs, was the catalyst. Somto Cyril added 14 points and Marcus Millender had 17 for Georgia.
CJ Hyland scored 14 points for the Catamounts, who fell to 4-7. Marcus Kell added 13 points in the loss before an announced crowd of 6,652. Georgia’s offense proved too potent, with six players scoring in double figures to secure the 30-point win.
