LEIPSIC, Del. (Interstat) — Navy built a large first-half lead and withstood a second-half rally to defeat Delaware State 66-59 in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday at Memorial Hall. The Midshipmen led 36-21 at halftime before the Hornets surged after intermission.

Mike Woods and Aidan Kehoe each scored 16 points for Navy, which improved to 5-5. Delaware State’s Corey Perkins recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. The Hornets, who fell to 2-7, capitalized on 18 Navy turnovers for 20 points but shot just 33.3% from the floor.
