Duke vs. Arkansas
CHICAGO (Interstat) — A Thanksgiving holiday showcase at the United Center features an undefeated Duke squad testing its mettle against an Arkansas team looking to prove it belongs among the nation’s elite.
The No. 1-ranked Blue Devils (7-0) have been dominant to start the season, winning each game by an average of 35.7 points. Their most impressive victory came in an 78-66 win over then-Kansas on Nov. 18. Duke is coming off a 93-56 rout of Howard on Sunday, where freshman forward Cameron Boozer posted 26 points and 12 rebounds.
The Razorbacks (5-1), under first-year coach John Calipari, have shown flashes but endured a tighter path. Their lone blemish is a three-point road loss to Michigan State. Arkansas narrowly escaped Winthrop 84-83 last week before a 115-61 demolition of Jackson State on Friday, fueled by 21 points from Malique Ewin.
This neutral-site contest pits Duke’s overwhelming consistency against an Arkansas roster still building chemistry. The Blue Devils have yet to be truly challenged, while the Razorbacks seek a program-defining victory to solidify their resume.
The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. EST on Thursday and will be broadcast on ESPN.
