Purdue Fort Wayne at Saint Louis

ST. LOUIS (Interstat) — The undefeated Saint Louis Billikens will look to extend their strong start to the season when they host the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at Chaifetz Arena.

Saint Louis (4-0) has won each of its first four games by at least 16 points, most recently defeating Grand Canyon 78-64 on Nov. 15. In that win, Amari McCottry scored 20 points and Dion Brown pulled down 15 rebounds.

Purdue Fort Wayne (2-4) enters on a two-game skid, including an 85-77 road loss to Utah on Tuesday. Corey Hadnot scored 20 points in the defeat for the Mastodons, who are 0-4 this season in true road games.

The Billikens’ offense has been potent, averaging 96.8 points per game, though their schedule has featured three home games against lower-tier opponents. Purdue Fort Wayne has faced a tougher early slate, with losses to Ohio State, Grand Canyon and Utah.

Following this game, Saint Louis will travel to Palm Desert, California, to face Santa Clara on Nov. 27. Purdue Fort Wayne returns home to host Chicago State on Nov. 25.
