UCF at Texas A&M
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Interstat) — Two teams with matching 2-1 records will meet Friday when the UCF Knights visit the Texas A&M Aggies at Reed Arena.
The Knights are coming off a dominant 97-60 victory over Florida A&M on Tuesday. Riley Kugel led the way with 16 points, while Carmelo Pacheco added 17 points off the bench. UCF’s lone loss came in a high-scoring affair, a 105-93 defeat to Vanderbilt on Nov. 8.
Texas A&M looks to rebound from its first loss of the season, an 87-63 road defeat against Oklahoma State on Sunday. Marcus Hill scored 14 points in the loss, while Zach Clemence contributed nine points and six rebounds. The Aggies’ two wins were decisive, beating Texas Southern and Northwestern State by an average of 32 points.
The matchup pits UCF’s potent offense, which has scored over 90 points in two games, against a Texas A&M squad that showed its defensive capabilities in its two early-season routs.
Following this game, UCF returns home to face Oakland on Monday. Texas A&M will also play its next game at home, hosting Montana on Tuesday.
