Omaha at Colorado State
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Interstat) — The Colorado State Rams, fresh off a dominant season-opening win, will host the winless Omaha Mavericks in a non-conference men’s basketball game Sunday at Moby Arena.
Colorado State (1-0) opened its 2025-26 campaign with a 98-64 rout of Incarnate Word on Monday. The Rams’ offense was firing, led by Brandon Rechsteiner’s 19 points and six assists. Kyle Jorgensen added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Jevin Muniz chipped in 13 points and seven assists.
Omaha (0-2) is seeking its first victory after a pair of narrow road losses. The Mavericks fell 73-71 at Abilene Christian on Thursday, despite a 21-point performance from Lance Waddles. They also opened the season with a 77-85 loss at Murray State.
The game represents a significant challenge for the Mavericks, who continue a difficult opening stretch away from home. The Rams, picked by many to finish in the upper tier of the Mountain West Conference, will be heavy favorites in their home opener.
Following this contest, Colorado State will host Cal Poly on Wednesday. Omaha’s next game is at home against Southern Utah on Nov. 15.
