OLE MISS HOSTS LOUISIANA-MONROE IN NON-CONFERENCE MATCHUP

OXFORD, Miss. (Interstat) — The Ole Miss Rebels look to build on a season-opening win when they host the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday.

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. CST at The Pavilion at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss (1-0) opened its season with a dominant 88-58 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Monday. Transfer AJ Storr scored 18 points and Malik Dia added a game-high 20 points to lead a balanced Rebels offense.

Louisiana-Monroe (0-1) is seeking its first win after falling 102-82 at Northern Illinois in its opener. Krystian Lewis scored 22 points in the loss, while Przemek Hartman added 16 points and Dylan Diaz contributed 13.

The Rebels’ defense, which held its first opponent to 58 points, will be tested by a Warhawks team that showed offensive firepower despite the lopsided loss.

Following this game, Ole Miss will prepare for a home matchup against Memphis on Nov. 11. Louisiana-Monroe continues its road swing at Houston Christian on Nov. 13.
