NEWTON, Mass. (Interstat) — Two men’s basketball teams looking to end difficult regular seasons on a positive note will meet Saturday when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish visit the Boston College Eagles in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at Silvio O. Conte Forum.

The game, scheduled for March 7, 2026, will feature teams with a combined 23-37 overall record. Notre Dame (13-17) enters with a slight edge in the standings over Boston College (10-20). The Fighting Irish won the season’s first meeting, 68-64, in South Bend on Jan. 24.

Notre Dame is coming off a 86-78 home loss to Stanford on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish have lost three of their last four games, with the lone win in that stretch a 96-90 overtime victory against North Carolina State on Feb. 28.

The Irish will lean on guard Jalen Haralson, who has been a consistent offensive force. He is averaging 20.5 points over his last four games, including a 25-point performance in the win over the Wolfpack.

Boston College has lost seven of its last eight games, most recently a 72-63 defeat at Virginia Tech on Tuesday. The Eagles’ only win since early February was a 68-67 home victory over Wake Forest on Feb. 25.

Eagles forward Boden Kapke will be a key factor. He is coming off a 25-point effort against the Hokies and had an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double in a close loss to Miami on Feb. 7. His production has been variable, however, scoring seven points or fewer in two of his last six outings.

Both teams have struggled defensively, setting the stage for a game that could be decided by which squad finds a late stop. Notre Dame will aim to complete a season sweep, while Boston College seeks a home-court boost to snap its skid before conference tournament play begins.
