WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Interstat) — Wake Forest overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat California 80-73 in a nonconference men’s basketball game Saturday at Joel Coliseum.

The Demon Deacons, trailing 37-29 at the break, erupted for 51 second-half points. Juke Harris led Wake Forest with 31 points. Dai Dai Ames scored 31 for the Golden Bears, who led for most of the game but could not sustain their early momentum. Wake Forest improved to 16-15 overall, while California fell to 21-9. Attendance was 8,514.
