Boise State at Fresno State

Preview: Boise State at Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Boise State looks to solidify its position in the Mountain West standings when it visits a struggling Fresno State team on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at the Save Mart Center.

The Broncos (17-11) have won three of their last four, including a 72-62 home victory over Wyoming on Tuesday. They are led by guard Dylan Andrews, who scored 20 points in that win and is averaging 18.1 points over his last seven games. Andrews erupted for 33 points in a road win at New Mexico on Feb. 7.

The Bulldogs (12-15) have lost four of their last five, most recently falling 74-70 at Colorado State. Despite the team’s struggles, guard DeShawn Gory has been a consistent offensive force, scoring 21 or more points in four of the last five contests. He tallied 23 points and four assists in the loss to the Rams.

This matchup features contrasting trajectories. Boise State has found its rhythm in close games, winning three overtime thrillers since late January. Fresno State, meanwhile, has been plagued by narrow defeats, with three of its last five losses coming by six points or fewer.

The Broncos won the first meeting this season, 81-65, in Boise on Jan. 20. Fresno State will aim to defend its home court and split the season series, relying on Gory’s scoring and a defense that must contain Andrews’ hot hand.

Saturday’s contest is the penultimate regular-season game for both teams. Boise State visits Colorado State on March 7, while Fresno State travels to Grand Canyon the same day.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PST at the Save Mart Center.
