Florida State at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA (Interstat) — Two Atlantic Coast Conference teams looking to halt late-season slides will meet Saturday when Florida State visits Georgia Tech at Hank McCamish Pavilion.

The Seminoles (14-14, 8-9 ACC) have dropped two of their last three, including an 83-73 home loss to Miami on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets (11-17, 4-13) are mired in a seven-game losing streak, most recently falling 87-70 at Louisville last Saturday.

Florida State will lean on forward Lajae Jones, who has been a consistent offensive force. He scored 21 points in the loss to Miami and is averaging 16.1 points over his last seven games. His defensive presence is also key, having recorded multiple blocks in four of those contests.

Georgia Tech’s hopes rest largely with forward Baye Ndongo, who has been a bright spot during the skid. He is averaging a double-double of 15.9 points and 9.4 rebounds over his last seven games. In the January meeting against North Carolina, he erupted for 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists, showcasing his high ceiling.

The Seminoles won the season’s first matchup, 78-68, in Tallahassee on Jan. 3. Jones led Florida State with 19 points in that game, while Ndongo paced Georgia Tech with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Both teams have struggled for consistency in conference play. Florida State has shown an ability to win on the road, with ACC victories at Clemson and Notre Dame this month, but also owns puzzling home losses. Georgia Tech’s defense has faltered during its streak, allowing an average of 87.1 points per game over the seven losses.

With the ACC tournament looming, the game carries weight for seeding, particularly for Florida State, which sits in the middle of the conference standings. A win would secure a .500 regular season. For Georgia Tech, it represents one of the final chances to build momentum before the conference tournament begins.

Tipoff is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, in Atlanta.
