Wisconsin Rallies Past Iowa in Big Ten Matchup

MADISON, Wis. (Interstat) — Nick Boyd fell just shy of a triple-double with 27 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists to lead Wisconsin to an 84-71 victory over Iowa in a Big Ten Conference men’s basketball game Sunday at Kohl Center.

The Badgers, who trailed 41-40 at halftime, used a 44-point second half to pull away before a crowd of 16,838. Boyd keyed the surge, while Nolan Winter added 18 points for Wisconsin. Bennett Stirtz paced Iowa with 23 points and Alvaro Folgueiras contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Both teams moved to 19-8 overall with the result. Wisconsin was a pregame 1.5-point favorite, and the total score went over the projected line. The Badgers shot efficiently in the second half to secure the win after a tightly contested opening period.
