NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — Aaron Nkrumah scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Tennessee State to an 80-53 victory over SIU Edwardsville in an Ohio Valley Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Howard Gentry Complex.

The Tigers never trailed, building a 40-26 halftime lead and maintaining a 40-point second half to complete the rout before a crowd of 876. Tennessee State shot 57% from the floor and outrebounded the Cougars. Darrion Baker led SIU Edwardsville with 17 points.

The win improved Tennessee State to 19-9 overall, while SIU Edwardsville fell to 17-12. The Tigers avenged a 74-66 loss to the Cougars last month.
