NORFOLK, Va. (Interstat) — Norfolk State used a strong first half to defeat Delaware State 75-58 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Saturday at Echols Hall.

The Spartans built a 39-26 halftime lead and maintained control throughout before a crowd of 2,431. Anthony McComb led Norfolk State with 19 points, while Devon Ellis added 17 points and four assists. Keyontae Lewis contributed 10 points.

Dean Shepherd scored 16 points for the Hornets, who fell to 6-17 overall. Norfolk State improved to 12-14.

The Spartans swept the season series, having also won 66-64 at Delaware State on Jan. 10.
