UC San Diego at Hawaii

Preview: UC San Diego Tritons at Hawaii Warriors

HONOLULU (Interstat) — A pivotal Big West Conference men’s basketball clash is set for Saturday when the Hawaii Warriors host the UC San Diego Tritons at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Both teams enter with 16-win seasons, but Hawaii (16-5) holds a superior overall record and will look to defend its home court. The Warriors are coming off a high-scoring 89-82 road victory at Long Beach State on Jan. 31, led by a standout performance from guard Dre Bullock. The junior scored 26 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished four assists in that win, cementing his status as a player to watch. Bullock has scored 17 or more points in four of his last seven games.

UC San Diego (16-8) arrives in Honolulu after a narrow 77-74 home win over Long Beach State on Thursday. The Tritons have experienced recent inconsistency, alternating wins and losses over their past six games. They will rely on forward Bol Dengdit, who paced the team with 18 points in Thursday’s victory. Dengdit has been a key offensive contributor, scoring in double figures in five of his last eight contests.

The Jan. 3 meeting between these teams saw UC San Diego secure an 83-73 home victory. Replicating that result on the road presents a stiffer challenge, as Hawaii boasts a formidable home-court advantage in Honolulu.

This matchup carries significant weight in the conference standings. Hawaii seeks to maintain its position near the top, while UC San Diego aims to string together consecutive wins and solidify its standing.

The game will tip off at 9 p.m. local time (11 p.m. PST) on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.
