Butler at Marquette

MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Butler Bulldogs will look to sweep the season series when they visit the struggling Marquette Golden Eagles in a Big East Conference matchup on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Bradley Center.

Butler (13-10, 4-6 Big East) enters having lost three straight, including a draining 97-87 double-overtime defeat at Providence on Wednesday. The Bulldogs won the first meeting against Marquette, 87-76, in Indianapolis on Jan. 23.

Guard Finley Bizjack has been a bright spot during the skid, averaging 25.7 points over the last three games. He scored 30 points in 48 minutes against Providence and poured in 28 against Marquette in the January victory.

Marquette (8-15, 3-7) has lost four of its last five and is coming off a 69-64 loss at Seton Hall last Saturday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to find consistency in conference play, though they boast a home win over then-Providence in overtime on Jan. 19.

Forward Royce Parham is a key figure for Marquette, providing interior scoring and rim protection. He averages 15.6 points and 2.1 blocks per game in conference play, including 14 points and three blocks in the loss at Butler.

Butler’s recent fortunes have hinged on Bizjack’s output; the Bulldogs are 5-1 this season when he scores 24 or more points. Containing him will be a primary focus for a Marquette defense allowing 78.2 points per game in Big East play.

Conversely, Butler’s defense, which forced 14 turnovers in the first meeting, will aim to disrupt a Marquette offense that has been held under 70 points in three of its last four losses.

The Golden Eagles will need a strong performance on the glass to counteract Butler’s perimeter attack and avoid falling further in the conference standings. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. EST.
