Colgate at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — A surging Colgate team looks to continue its climb in the Patriot League standings when it visits a resurgent Bucknell squad Saturday at Sojka Pavilion.

The Raiders (14-10) have won four of their last five, including a 69-55 victory over Army on Wednesday. Guard Ben Tweedy led the way with 16 points in that win and has been a consistent catalyst. In the teams’ first meeting on Jan. 17, a 95-76 Colgate victory, Tweedy scored 14 points.

Bucknell (8-16) has found momentum of its own, winning two straight, most recently a 60-59 road win at American on Wednesday. That effort was powered by a 21-point performance from standout guard Amon Dörries. Dörries is averaging 24.3 points over his last three games, including a 36-point outburst in a double-overtime win over Boston University on Jan. 31.

The matchup features a stark contrast in recent trajectories. Colgate sits firmly in the upper tier of the conference, while the Bison are looking to build on their first winning streak since early January. Containing Dörries will be a primary focus for the Raiders’ defense.

For Bucknell, improving its defensive intensity is paramount after allowing 95 points to Colgate last month. The Bison will need a strong performance in the paint and on the perimeter to slow a balanced Raiders attack that features multiple scoring threats alongside Tweedy.

Saturday’s contest is the only scheduled meeting between the programs this regular season. Following this game, Colgate visits Holy Cross on Wednesday, while Bucknell hosts Navy on Monday.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. EST at Sojka Pavilion.
